Woke up to a urgent phonecall which required me to reach the office to fax some documents. After faxing those documents, I'll need to make my way from office (Jurong East) to Tampines CC to do some labour work, and then home.
It was getting late so I took a cab to Tampines. Reassured that the cab had the nets / visa facility, I got in and endured the long journey across Singapore. Traffic was quite bad along the expressway and the phone kept ringing asking when I'm reaching. It was only after 30mins I reached the place and I took out my UOB card to pay the $30 odd cab fare, the driver didn't know how to use the nets/visa machine. -.-|||
So there we were, stuck at that place and because I was in a rush, he left me his mobile so I can pass him the cash after I'm done with my work. Expecting my phone to go out of battery anytime, I wrote down his number on a piece of paper.
I did the labour work which took only 10mins............. (cue: UNNECESSARY WORK / TRAVEL), I called up the driver to meet up. My phone was flashing the low battery sign and suay suay the call got disconnected half way through.
I had to find a paying phone, call him, find a UOB ATM, get the cash and meet him up. After all that hassle, I took 28 from Tampines INT back home.
Life is full of choices. Wrong choices might make things better, right choices might make things worse. But no matter what are the choices we make, we need to know what we want at the end of it and make sure we get there, then the choices made will be justified.
