对自己的喊话

I suppose it's significant enough to do up a post for my 1st day at work.

The morning was spent reading up on the organisation's bi-monthly magazine, trying to get the gist of its make-up. And the usual office tour for the newbie, where I got introduced to everyone in the office, whose names i can barely remember now.

Fellow corp comms colleagues brought me around during lunch time and introduced me to the "tapao" culture, coz they think it's too warm to eat out. Hmmm... this is something that needs some getting used to. (the boy:girl ratio is something like 1:5)

After the lunch break, I was tasked to do a foreword for the Chairman of ASME, which I have until the end of the week to complete my draft.

So that's basically it. In the near future, I will be writing business / lifestyle articles for the upcoming Sep/Oct issue of the magazine, on top of the daily drafting of letters and speeches. Sounds like it's going to be a crazy few months ahead.

I hope to enjoy the activities as they come along and hopefully make it in one piece.
