The crew had to reach at 7am to set up, which means i woke up at 5am this morning.
Since I just got back after a fulfilling post-event dinner with the crew at Great World City, I've missed the whole sunrise/sunset part of the day. Seriously, on my way back, the sky looked exactly like the one when I left house.
I'm not actually a big fan of seminars, especially when you need to make small talks with total strangers, and people you liaised with but never got to see them until today. So by some strange chance, I met this guy who introduced himself as James Bond (I have his real name, but think he would probably prefer to maintain his alter ego). Eccentric would be an understatement to describe him. He had so many stories to share and life lessons to be learnt, my colleagues/hotel staff were kept entertained by him throughout the seminar.
He was constantly preaching (in a good way) about how important humour is in life, quoting Shakespeare's "Humour is the spice of life" as an example.
And the spookiest thing of all, he is Colin's father! I didn't believe it until he showed me a picture of Colin from his wallet. Long story short, he speaks fluent English and can do a really convincing british accent. Bond's also a really great mentor, so Colin's really lucky to have him as a father. Plus he can sing damn well too lah!
To end off with something off topic, this lady tending to the IBM's booth at the seminar was continuously flirting with us! Not physically or verbally, but Bond and myself could sense that she's constantly looking at our direction. Plus point: she's actually quite cute looking. ;)
Bond jokingly said he'll make a move on her if he was 40 years younger. Haha.
TGIF tomorrow! Only need to go in at 10am tomorrow, and can wear casual! Whoopie!
