The purpose of CNY

CNY is a time when relatives gather at the same place, at the same time, talking about the same stuff. For example, the very general question, "What are you doing now?" to the more specific, "When are you graduating?"

I always ask myself this question - Didn't I answer that SAME question last year?! -.-

Also, CNY is a good time for us to clean up the mess we've created at home over the year, so when relatives visit it will leave them a good impression. Why can't the place be kept nice and tidy throughout the year... this I really don't understand. HOW SUPERFICIAL!

And the best reason for the existence of CNY is to provide a good excuse for us to binge on ba kwa, pineapple tarts and other new year goodies.

Ok, done with my blabbering about CNY. Got to start doing SCHOOL WORK. My 1-week term break suay suay falls together with the CNY holidays. 2 days kenna eaten up! Damn it.
