Unfortunately, I couldn't find a similar model in the market that's as good and as cheap. I tried to use it even though it's so terok, but it's kinda embarrassing when you need to remove your earphones in public, because the earbud will be stuck in your ear, and the wire will detach itself from it. -.-
For non-drivers, a good pair of earphones is really useful to shut out the noise when you commute on trains / buses. I had so much trouble finding a worthy replacement until i tried this new In-ear design earphones from Creative!

EP-830
You know the trouble with earphones is the trial and error part. You don't know how the earphones actually sound like until you buy it. But Creative provides their potential customers a trial set of earphones at their outlets! Of course you need to try it in their store la... cannot bring away de.
Anyway, i tried this new model EP-830. It's presumably an improved version of the EP-630. I had the same problem at the store when comparing these two sets of earphones because both their specifications were the same! The EP-830 is $79, and EP-630 is $45.
I asked the staff...
Me: So how to justify the difference in pricing?
She blur blur look at me and replied,
"Yeah, the specs are the same... erm... you want to try it?"
So after trying both earphones, there is definitely a slight difference.
The bass and treble of EP-830 sounded more crisp and clear when compared to the older model. I had a tough time deciding which one to buy since the difference in performance is not much but the pricing is quite significant. Ultimately, I chose the more expensive pair. Now I can listen to music at half the volume and even get better quality compared to my previous pair of earphones!
While I was there, I tried on the premium pair of earphones. The Aurvana In-Ear is retailing at $169! It is totally out of my budget but it's free to try, so why not?

Aurvana In-ear
The performance on this earphone is just out of this world. First, the design of the earpiece allows it to fit nicely into your ear. Then when the music plays, it's as though the person is singing it live in front of you! Totally different from the versions I heard from other earphones. But as I was saying, it's too expensive for this poor student. Maybe in the future.... maybe.
