Yeah! Long weekend again. Thurs and fri off. shiok.
These few days our activities have been rather interesting. Yesterday morning we did abit of rehearsals for the paid performance, and in the afternoon, WE FINALLY HAD SPORTS AND GAMES! Although a handful cleared afternoon off, we still managed to play soccer, finally. 6 seniors v.s. 6 juniors. the score, 6-1. haha. It was a very entertaining afternoon of ball-kicking.
After which i stayed in bunk after fall out, coz the next day we're falling in at 5:15am! So most of us ko-ed before 12am. It's for some japanese organisation having an annual award thing (i think)
4:20am - bunk lights on already... kns... tried to sleep for a while more, then struggled to wash up
4:45am - Walked up to white house. Super chilly.
5:25am - Left for Swissotel......... had a short nap... ZzzzzZzZz
5:45am - We reached our destination, liased with the japanese who's in charge of taking us to our holding area. You can just see bunches of japanese smoking outside the hotel. *whispers* they don't sleep....
We went up to our rooms, fixed instruments and went straight for our rehearsal. On our way, saw lotz of posters in japanese that i don't understand. And you see everyone involved rushing here and there, greeting you, it just doesnt feel like it's 6am in the morning... I think once they feel tired, they smoke.
6am - 7am - REHEARSALS AND MORE REHEARSALS. How to walk in. How to march out. So the plan was...
The stage has 2 merlions spouting out lasers in the dark room during the preshow, followed by alot of lights + thunder sounds + smoke... Then comes the cliche percussion beat, and the band moves in by cue. We stop at where we're supposed to, and once the lights are on, we play Olympic Spirit.
Once we finish the piece, assuming audience are very hyped up, we play bandstand. =.=
On the repeat, we march out.
7:15am - 8am - BREAKFAST TIME! The hotel provided us with breakfast. Got hot steamy beehoon, nasi lemak with all the ikan bilis u want, drumlets, coffee and tea. Since it's free flow buffet, most of us had one or more servings. To our surprise, they topped up the food when it's finish. -.-
There was a cute girl helping us to clear our plates, and quite a few friends of mine went to take picture with her. haha. One even got her email. I suppose thats their highlight for the day.
8:15am - We changed into our No.1 and made our way to the backstage via the KITCHEN. haha. So got into our positions, and start to stone...... The show started and ended in a flash. But what was most memorable was how not enthusiastic the crowd was when we started playing. I EVEN SAW ONE GUY SLEEPING LA. btw the crowd was made up of mostly jap guys in their late 40s, jap women in early 30s... totally sian-ed.
9am - We got changed and left the place. BACKTO CAMP.
We did nothing except sleep from then till 2pm, when we had our final BITS rehearsal. YAY... *cheers*
It was still crappy coz we're STILL changing the steps although we're leaving in exactly 9 days. Nevertheless, it was fun.
This weekend me jh alan joelly weilun SHOULD be attending the NBC.... hopefully can settle the tickets soon. till then!
