Movie Review: Angels & Demons

If you have watched The Da Vinci Code, comparisons are inevitable. For example, even before entering the theatre, you would have certain expectations for Angels & Demons. Very much similar to Da Vinci code, Robert Langdon played by Tom Hanks follows the clues and solves the mystery with a pretty lady alongside him.

The movie talks about the bitter history between the catholics and the Illuminati, a group which I thought is really interesting. Don't know if it's all truth though.

The plot centres around the Illuminati group seeking revenge by kidnapping four key personnel from the Vatican. Why they are seeking revenge? Because the catholics did the exact same thing to them a few hundred years ago. (记仇鬼...)
Robert Langdon's role in this movie is to find them before they are killed.

Simple enough.

But what made this movie really special are the minute details in the plot which provided the many twists in the story. And I absolutely love twists in movies. Twists add extra value to the movie when the expected story ending ends up totally different and you're proven wrong. That sense of being defeated by the intelligence and unpredictability of the script makes this movie a must watch!
