yet another embarrassing moment to forget

We were walking down the streets of Orchard and this guy approached me from a distance. First thought, he must be trying to get me to fill a survey form. So I promptly raised my hand and gestured "no thank you". But as we got closer, the look resembled someone I met before but I couldn't put a timeframe or name to it.

So when he said, "Hi! Long time no see! Remember me?"

Me: *jittery moments* "die lah... why he know me and i dont know him."

Just when I was about to say something (which thankfully I didn't because I was about to say if I met him during my RT @ Khatib Camp), he gave me a priceless clue that would save my embarassment. "Remember? At KL?"

Me: OH!! you're that Chelsea fan! Yes yes yes. Now i remember. What's your name?

So we social chat for less than a minute, and went off. But immediately after bidding our goodbyes, I was feeling damn paiseh about my "no thank you" gesture earlier.

Urgh. Although the chances of bumping into each other is one in a million, it still feels awkward IF we do meet the next time. One thing for sure, his name and face will be circling in my head tonight.


Hmm..why does this sounds so wrong...
