Ahhhhhh!! I saw 陈绮贞 in the flesh! OMG OMG OMG! Today also marks the first time 绮贞 has held a 签唱会 in Singapore too. It makes this session that extra bit special.
This is also the first time I've seen her perform live. So many firsts in one day, 谁受得了啊！And I guess those who went will agree she sounded really good. She was accompanied by 小虎, one of the guitarists in her band and also longtime boyfriend. A pity he didn't feature in any of the repertoire. So why did he appear in the first place? I wonder.
When 绮贞 was busying signing the autographs on stage, I spotted 小虎 just standing at one corner with another guy. Judging that it's a good phototaking opportunity, I asked if we can take a photo together. Guess what he said?
小虎: Aiya, 今天没有化妆，还是不要拍比较好。 我们握手好了！
Me： Ahh. 好吧。(stretches out both hands and we shook hands)
The feeling of rejection is so bad... but to comfort myself, I actually got a shot of him before the autograph session started. Ah-hah!
So back to the autograph session itself, I reached around 5:15pm, got myself a cup of bubble tea since the weather was really warm at the outdoors. There was already a crowd gathering round the tent/stage, but I managed to get a reasonably good spot for the evening. Nuanyi arrived close to 6pm, which was supposedly the time we're meeting. Luckily I came earlier to chop spots, if not we'll not be able to get any good shots of 绮贞!
绮贞 sang a total of 4 songs, including 1 encore. And I really must repeat myself. She sounded really good LIVE! Although if we compare 卢广仲's recital at Esplanade, his pitching was better. But the acoustic was very much different at the outdoors of Bugis Junction la, hor?
And after watching through the short performance, I'm even more tempted to go for her concert this April 4, 2009! Urgh! how how how.... anyone wants to buy my Lin Jun Jie concert tickets?
After missing her 'A Piece of Summer' concert in 2007, I don't want to wait another 2years or longer for her next concert!
