What would you do if your kid lost his handphone? Or rather specifically, got his phone stolen by a guy who borrowed it from your son?
A. Tell him it's ok, and buy him a new phone
B. Blame him for being so naive, then ask how it happened
C. Ask how it happened, and warn him of the "real" world in a nice tone
D. Worry about own's safety as robber could follow the kid back home and ransack the house

So, what was your answer?
There's no right or wrong really, but these options lead to different consequences. If you ask me, I would have chosen B.
My brother got quite a bit of flak from all of us, and I suppose he had mentally prepared for it. He just remained silent and took it all in. I wonder what's going through his mind right now. How do you tell a 13-yr-old to weigh his options, how do you teach him when to help and when not to?

But highlight of the day was this..

Guess what my dad chose? Obvious isn't it.
What an asshole.
