Revisiting IPPT

I've always heard how slack RT is and how bo chap the people are, especially the older ones. And my verdict after my very first Remedial Training (RT) at Khatib Camp?

It's Blardy hell TRUE! (Well, at least for the first session)

The reporting time was supposedly 7:45am, so everyone can be processed and given a number tag. But you can still see others strolling in around 8am - 8:15am. Slack!

As per army practice, it took us 1hr to settle administrative matters (e.g. briefing about how RT works) and the next 1hr consisted of warm-ups and camp orientation.

But the funny part of the day belonged to the NEW warm up.

We were introduced by the Fitness Specialist (FS) to the ALL NEW DYNAMIC warm up! I couldn't contain my laughter after see-ing the demo on how DYNAMIC the new routine is. Basically you're stretching the same spots, with the same posture position BUT this time you're actually moving up and down / left and right while holding onto that posture.

Visualize arms stetched across the body, with palm facing up. That's the OLD chest stretch. But now the palm is facing forward and you still stretch, but now you stretch backwards with timing aka 1,2,3,4.. 2,2,3,4..

After the warm up, we did a slow jog round the camp (approx. 900m) as the FS orientated us to where the e-mart is, where the medical center is... which are all quite irrelevant if you ask me.

AND we're allowed to go off!

That's all for my first RT. What a pleasant surprise! I thought it would last until 12pm and I'll need to rush home to prepare for the concert this evening. So now I actually have time to type down all this.

If my next session is also similar, I'm not complaining even if I fail my IPPT for the next 10 years man.
