I thought Chelsea stood a really good chance of getting something from the game after the dominant first half but we let our guard down in injury time and gave United the lead at half time.
Chelsea threw in the towel way too early by making the substitution in half-time. By replacing Deco with Anelka, Chelsea shifted from an initial 4-5-1 to a 4-4-2 which really reduced the width that was already not that wide to start with. United turned up the tempo in the 2nd half and had more time on the ball which they fully utilised.
The substitutions from Scolari were not necessary and it did not improve the game one bit. Anelka / Belleti/ Di Santo were all non-existent when they came on and the changes really killed our chances of getting at least a draw out of this game.
The changes led to a 3-0 thumping by United at final whistle. In my opinion, Scolari only has a few more matches to turn things round before we lose touch with league leaders, Liverpool who also dropped points against Stoke this weekend.
