Venue: Shah Alam Stadium - Malaysia
Date: 29 July 2008

On 29 July 2008, Chelsea will be playing against a Malaysian Selection XI side at the Shah Alam Stadium! I suppose that's the closest any Asian countries can get to WATCH a Premiership club play football without burning a big hole in your pocket. Prices for a match day ticket range from RM33 - RM103!
If possible, i would really love to make a trip to M'sia for the match. I have been to the Kallang Stadium for the match between the Singapore Lions and Manchester United when the Premiership club was in town a few years back. The experience was unforgettable. Not only was the sublime football displayed, the atmosphere was super electric. No matter who scored, we cheered. It is much much better to watch soccer 'LIVE', trust me.
You might be thinking, Chelsea is a 'boring' team and what's the point of paying to see them play?
There might be some truth in that, but with all due respect to M'sian XI, we're actually looking at World Class Internationals v.s. a selected bunch of soccer players! So i'm expecting a lot of goals, and excellent displays from the current / new Chelsea players.
Terry, Ballack, Ashley Cole and Joe Cole are all on the promotional poster, so i'm assuming they will be featured. Fingers crossed the new signings from Portugal, Deco and Bosingwa will also play a part in the match!
So, who wants to go to M'sia with me??? (: (preferably someone with transport.. haha)
It's the transport that's the main issue. I do not have transport to and fro. So... i would need to figure out how to get there and back to Singapore after the match. Hmm. I'm hoping something can be worked out though.
