Why cannot defer?!

Lately, i'm a little troubled by what's happening around me. Like not being able to defer my ICT even though it clashes with school, the essays i have to rush because of the ICT, and the unknowns that comes with this ICT.

Basically, the ICT that's the root of the problems. I don't get it why it can't be deferred when Full-time studies / Part-time studies is listed as one of the causes for deferment.

However, one of the criterias to be able to defer is if you are under the 'IHL' category. Probably thats why...

Institute of Higher Learning.

That comprises of NUS, NTU and SMU. Nothing else.
Hurray for students in these institutions, because obviously people like myself are in a different category. It's somewhat implying that people studying in private uni are 'less of' those in local unis. Is it not?

I'm not a fan of being in the army, period. What and why are we training for anyway? All that talk about defending your home, protect your family, it's basically bull-crap to me. When you're on the battlefield, i'm not thinking about all this. All i want to is to get out of it alive.

Heck. Probably my enemy thinks the same way as myself! We need to kill each other because our countries buay song and went to war. And we become the pawns.

I may not agree with all the reasons why i'm in this system, but the worst one is because i'm liable? Because i'm SINGAPOREAN? National pride? WTH!!

Argh. enuff of ranting. I just hope to get out of this system.
